Michael M. McReynolds,
born in Passing, Virginia, 1948; Admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1975
and to the Texas Bar in 1981; United States District Court for the Northern
District of Texas; Education: Chapman College, Orange, California (BA
1972); University of Colorado School of Law (JD 1974); Professional
Affiliations: National Bar Association, American Bar Association, State
Bar of Texas, J.L. Turner Legal Association, and Dallas Bar Association.
After completing his military service in the United States Air Force,
Mike moved his young family to Boulder, Colorado so he could attend
law school. After graduation, Mike's first legal position was with State
Farm Insurance Companies at its corporate headquarters in Bloomington,
Illinois. As a corporate attorney, his work was broad-based and challenging
but was transactional in nature. He wanted to try his hand at litigation
but working as in-house counsel did not afford him the opportunities
for litigation.
Mike left State Farm to join the United States Navy as a member of the
Judge Advocate General's Office and moved his family to Subic Bay, Philippines.
Serving as a JAG officer meant that Mike learned the skills of a trial
attorney from the best and most dedicated trial attorneys that he's
had the honor of working with to date.
Mike opened the doors to
his firm in 1981. Today, he serves as the firm's managing partner and
divides his time between the administrative responsibilities of running
a small business and in the courtroom where he remains active and engaged
on the legal side of the firm's practice.
